It is just like brand new with no engravings on it and the batter life just lasted just as the brand new first generation ipod would have when it first came out. However, I was kinda expecting it to come with the original box and the original charger but it didnt. Instead I got the one that has much more cluttery and hassle with the two long wires attached together one with firewire and usb output and to ipod as well. Oh well, I will accept it as is anyway because I am really glad to be bit of old school with the chunk pink ipod because I had the old parts that goes with it when I lost y green one back then. I'm hoping the design of the encasement is meant to aid in cooling puposes. Just seems flimsy. Watching a few movies on he MBP tends to heat up the unit pretty good. I'm thinking they should add a cooling fan. Probably the reason why the people who have purchased this item are having issues. It does it's job.

This in-dash DVD player works exactly as advertised. The best price is the price, this was hte most reasonably priced system that I could find. The card reader, AUX input, touchscreen - are all features which one wouldn't expect at this price. Set-up is intuitive and easy. I'm not good at setting up electronic devices, but this was easy even for me. Overall a great item, definitely recommended.
